Marathoners 25-28

presented by j + cj:

here it is…our final group of Marathoner profiles for Adopt My Run. we’ve been so grateful for everyone’s participation during this fundraiser and we can’t believe we’re already at the end of November. so a big, big thank you to everyone! TODAY ONLY you can pledge for any of our marathoners at half price, $13.10 instead of $26.20 for a black friday special. but with no further ado, our final set of Marathoners are: Heather Murrell, Taylor Barnes, Ashley Williams, and Tate Madzima!

Heather and Christa met through a mutual friend at The Village Church. She lives in our favorite Little D and has become quite the avid runner. She recently ran and dominated her first half-marathon, and it is so cool to see the support and community she has with fellow marathoners Michelle Hurt and Andrew Dealy. Heather graduated from Louisiana Tech University, and is puppy-momma to her beagle Sam and mini-dauchsund Augie. She is a world traveller but her favorite place she’s visited is Ireland-it truly is as beautiful and green as it looks in pictures. I have been so impressed by her strength  and if you get a chance you can read her blog here-your heart will be encouraged by seeing the all the evidence of God’s grace in her life. When she’s not running you can find her crafting or decorating her house, she makes a mean cinnamon roll cake, and we are so happy to have her as part of Team Baby J!

Taylor also lives in Denton with her husband Darrell and sweet little boy Oliver. Jonathan and Darrell were friends in college, and Christa met Taylor while taking a class together The Village Church. From day one of meeting Taylor, it was clear she had a special place in her heart for foster care and adoption. She and Darrell were always quick to be willing to serve other families in this process, and hope to one day be adoptive parents themselves. Taylor is a stay-at-home mommy to Oliver, and she is probably one of the most “Denton hippies” I know. She has a worm farm…I don’t know what for, but she’s just awesome like that. And if you want to know what good, safe, affordable products to get for your baby, Taylor is the girl to talk to-she’s done all the research (yep we’ll be getting coffee soon Taylor!). We are thrilled to have her serving us via Adopt My Run!

Ashley and Christa are childhood friends from back in the day. Christa and Ashley met while her dad was pastor of her hometown church, and their families quickly became good friends and still keep up with each other to this day. Ashley lives in Del Rio with her husband Ben and two cute kiddos Madeline and Zachariah. In addition to being an air force wife and mommy, she is currently working on her Masters of Arts in Children’s Ministry from Dallas Baptist University. They serve faithfully at their church in Del Rio and have a heart for adoption-she and Ben have been supportive of us since the day we announced we’re adopting, and hope to adopt themselves one day. We’re thankful for her family, her husband’s service to our country, and are glad to have her doing Adopt My Run!

Tate and Jonathan go back to the ’05 when they were both attending the University of North Texas and The Village Church. Tate is originally from Harare, Zimbabwe, though his accent only comes out when he’s around his family (and says the word “awesome”).Tate got his undergraduate degree in film, but is currently working on his Master’s of Divinity with Church and Family Ministry at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He works as the Children’s Minister for The Village Church – Denton Campus and is married to his sweet wife, Rachel, who is typically the runner of the two. Tate has been a good and faithful friend to the Jordans and we can’t wait for the day we can introduce him as “Uncle Tater” to Baby J.

i hope you have enjoyed getting to know this amazing group of people as much as we have, and we can’t believe Adopt My Run is about to come to a close already! PLEASE take advantage of our deal today-it’s the best black friday deal out there, helping us put our family together. Click here to pledge-Adopt My Run ends December 1st!

We hope you have had a Happy Thanksgiving, and we hope next year you’ll be getting updates of Baby J!
