After 3 LONG years, dining plans at Walt Disney World are BACK beginning January 9th, 2024!! Vacation packages are now open for the whole year, and dining plans can be added. This is a huge deal as it allows you to pre-pay for the vast majority or your meals BEFORE you get there! Great peace of mind knowing you don’t have to scrimp around the parks, say no when you want to say yes, or miss out on things like character dining experiences, because you were smart and added one of the dining plans!

In order to reopen in 2020, WDW implemented the park reservation system. In addition to your tickets, you had to reserve which park you were going to each day of your visit. While it has been great for crowd control, it’s definitely hard not to have the spontaneity or flexibility with your vacation. Beginning January 9. 2024 though, we can say goodbye to park reservations! This will make planning easier, especially for those who like more freedom.

One of the many reasons we go to the parks over and over again, is because they are always changing! The nostalgia and classics I grew up with that my family and kids still love are there, but there’s also NEW rides, attractions, lands, and shows that come year after year! TRON Lightcycle Run, Journey of Water: Inspired by Moana, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, character meet and greets like Mirabel and Moana, and so much more! If you haven’t been in a while or never been before, this is such a great time to experience the old and new!

It’s no secret there has been a lot of chatter about the implementation of Genie+, a paid system through the app that allows you to book “Lightning Lanes” throughout the day. I personally LOVE Genie+ more than the old fast pass system, you just have to know how to use it (something I teach all my clients and they love it too!). Disney Parks Department is listening to fans though, and did announce that there would be updates coming to Genie+ in 2024 that would improve the experience for guests. We don’t know exactly what those are yet, but rest assured, “You ain’t never had a friend like me,” to book and plan your trip so you don’t have to worry.
